Description

This web enhanced course introduces students to health care needs of older adults. It focuses on providing a safe effective care environment, while promoting and maintaining physiological and psychosocial integrity. In addition, this this course helps students apply knowledge from the humanities, biophysical and psychosocial sciences to the science of Nursing. Students learn to apply the nursing process at a beginning level, develop critical thinking skills, perform selected psychomotor skills and use therapeutic communication.
